Imposition

Some people have a compulsive need to get involved in things that do not affect them directly, and only effects then indirectly because they get themselves involved. I don’t understand why someone would go around getting their panties in a knot over someone else’s personal habits or beliefs. So let’s take the wake up call. I really need to turn down the ringer on that phone…

I am sick of organizations telling people, “you are [insert negative connotation here] because you won’t support the fight for the green bellied jackamawhatsit.” You know what I don’t care if that whatever the hell it’s called stops breathing and reproducing as a species… something will slip into it’s place and thrive. It’s called evolution, oh wait my bad… god wasn’t omnipotent enough to generate a self sustaining ecology, well in that case if he wants it around so bad let him save it. Either way; leave the rest of us with a life alone. And how about the idiots making laws based on a 12 person, with a proclaimed 4000 person following, lobby (if it’s a Florida lobby… how many of those people are dead?). I mean really how is it that 4012 people get to “encourage” laws for the other 250 million of us? Screw those narrow minded simpletons. That’s right I do want to be able to smoke in My Car, that I paid for with My Money, and maintain with My Time. You know what else if someone wants to get laid so bad they are willing to pay for it… whose fucking business is that anyway? Or how about 2 men getting married (or 2 women for that matter) what fucking difference does that make to me or anyone but those 2? I mean really are they pitching a tent in your living room and getting it on all night in your house? Oh it’s against the tenants of your imaginary friend? Well shit, don’t marry someone of your own gender. Your children may take it as accepted? Don’t raise sheep! It’s not the fags’ problem what you believe. How about if I am dieing of some horribly painful disease and someone comes along and says hey, I can help you with that… you know what, I defy anyone to tell me I am wrong for wanting out of the pain. If you want to be in pain 24/7 for days or years on end… come on over, I have a hammer right here and will be happy to help you out with that goal. We have more compassion for a dog than each other.

Ok now that I got my Dennis Leary moment out of my system (maybe), lets be “rational”. So drugs are illegal and cost the entire country money (yep those are your dollars they are spending). I ask you why? I understand it destroys families, and lives. But it’s a self resolving problem. If someone is so messed up they need drugs to help them get through it great! Let them, and when they die of an overdose, or exposure because they couldn’t afford the rent and the crack habit, we won’t have to worry about their stupid ass anymore. Why do I want to give my money up so we can try and rehabilitate a junkie? If they can’t see that they are killing themselves and hurting those around them, then I really don’t think they need to be taking their fair share of the oxygen anyway, didn’t you hear the rain forests, where a lot of our oxygen comes from, are shrinking? Why do we care about someone that is so self-destructive and oblivious to their effect on the rest of us? That’s just foolish. You want a real solution to the problem? Take 100 dollars and test suspected fiends for drugs, if they test positive, have kids and/or a family, extradite the family and let the fiends kill themselves getting high. What do we do with the kids? Hand them over to an alternate (sober) family member with irrevocable guardianship, to some degree or another it was their issue to prevent/resolve at some point anyway, that is it started in their “House” (will make more sense in a couple paragraphs). Do we really want kids raised by someone that thinks taking drugs for entertainment is “Ok”? While I am at it, those of you that want to throw me in jail for disciplining my child; you can cough up the bail money when he grows up to be a freaking loser. Did I hit your kid? No. Then go blow. If I broke his arm, or burned him, or went on a rampage on his ass, I could see getting involved… but my spanking him with 1-3 swipes of my hand does not qualify as child abuse, mind your own fucking business and maybe attend to your own brat while your at it, the next time he kicks my shin and smiles I just might.

Get a life, I mean really there are plenty of things you could be doing with your time, take a class, take a drive, jump out of an airplane, without a parachute for all I care (don’t land on my house/car/son), SOMETHING, but let me live this little bit of a life I have. For those that believe in reincarnation; more power to you, perhaps you will get another chance to actually enjoy it. But for those of us who are pretty sure this is it; let us be. I don’t even care if I am laughed at for my actions, as long as I can partake in them. Stating your opinion and attempting to enforce it are two different things.

Closing thought; Get out of my pocket, clean your own house and let others take care of theirs. If they’re not kicking your door in let them be. If they are, it becomes your business; take care of your business. If you want to worship the pile of dog shit shaped like Spongebob Square Pants™ in the middle of your living room it’s your business don’t bother trying to get me to join in.

Side note: this is aimed at and for adults, anyone under 18 (21 in my opinion) is subject to the authority of their parents, and is considered part of the parents’ “House” or “Business”.

Cool thanks, I think.... ;)

Best part about a rant is I don't have to be right i just have to have an opinion. For the sake of arguement though I realize my cure to the drug problem wouldn't work but hell it beats taxing me to pay for the problem. If you haven't noticed I like the prospect of a healthy debate.

hehehe ~ you sure know how to stir up an argument ~ nice style...=P

i do however have to agree with the heathen on this one.

once upon a time, if u wanted to wreck the environment - you could go ahead and do it, as long as u had a bit of power and could leave the degenerating community and environment for somewhere cleaner later...
well now theres no where else to go. it affects people everywhere. if only because we can do worse damage, on a larger scale in a smaller world. it affects everyone.

every time an adult dies in a developed country, around $1million dollars is lost to that country's economy/community. People in every country have the same worth, but not the opportunity to use it.

oh yeh, and some people dont actually need to be affected materially to help - its called empathy.

aHeathen -

let me start by saying awesome! and now to my reply...

In truth you are incorrect on both accounts I was in fact very profitable in that particular trade for along time, I have altered my means of income since then but the fact is, I despise fiends, after a lot of years of having to deal with them day to day I actually do not like the irresponsible nature, and attitudes of most fiends. In my opinion it's only a problem if you can't afford it, but 90% of the time it turns into that sort of problem. Truth is I don't care if people use drugs, and I actually meant to get that across in my rant, that it's thier life and business what they do and if what they do kills them then so be it. the only ones I have even a seconds thought or concern for are the kids (they dont' have a choice) that get caught up in the middle of mommy or daddies drug issues. I have no issue with the drugs themselves :)

hehe and yes I am a bit mad it keeps life entertaining :D

Empathy yeah I have heard of it... not really my thing. However the adults that are dieing from that particular issue are not exactly the Tax Payer types.. they end up on a corner begging for money or in jail in the end, there are those few that pull out of it and make themselves productive members of society and some even balance their habit well with a productive attitude, more power to those.. but they are far and few between. Not really looking to wreck the environment, I think if people spent more time taking care of thier issues instead of tryin to fix everyone elses the number of issues would actually decrease.. just my opinion though. :D

Love the comments guys don't hesitate and don't worry about anger issues, (i got a couple emails with that concern expressed) this is a truely open forum I won't hesitate to state my opinion and hope others will take the same stance.

on a less direct note, I realize the solution mentioned wouldn't work... it's not that well thought out this was really a rant, kinda my return from last weeks debacle :)

Emapthy is over rated. Reminds me of someone who stresses over somthing they can't fix. *yeah I know you've read my blog, and it's pretty funny that I say that* What I actually mean is conserning your self with somthing that doesn't directly affect you. Ka Ka Occurs, you can't always do anything about it, and sometimes you probrably shouldn't.

As Far as recreational use of chemicals. Very seldom does it stay this way. I could really careless what somone does, until it directly affects me. At this point, I take it very seriously, if your causeing me problems.

Recreational drug use is a non-issue where I live. But I guess it depends on which drugs are being used. Alcohol seems the be be the most popular, followed closely by Tobacco. Might be the other way around. (and yes Tobacco is a drug) I personlly am a recreational user of both among another natural substance (ahem) and have tried others that are considered maybe more controversial. Won't get into all that jive, but I Will say that myself and those that I hang out with tend to be somewhat responsible. I've held a job for over 6 years and find a happy balance.

Overall enjoyed the rant ;)
