Can I Get a Coherent Thought?

Well today was supposed to be about stupid people but to be honest I am just too tired. So I am going to do a lazy post instead. Hmmm how about … umm well how about customers since I already covered companies earlier this week and it’s not far from the original intended target….

Customers, now here is a topic I have wanted to do since I was doing phone support for a now defunct company (no it wasn’t my fault, or at least my bank account wasn’t padded with the “lost” funds) too bad I am tired and probably won’t do it justice. Let’s find out shall we?

Customers hunt for the lowest possible price on anything, and then when they buy that cheap ass, made in Idun Givashet (located just outside of any orphanage in any given 3rd world country), piece of equipment they can’t understand why it doesn’t have that cool, bad ass, Joe’s next door will do it, feature. Upon discovery of this missing feature, the customer immediately calls the company support line and begins to rail on the representative (whom, if you read the T-n-A article you know, had nothing to do with it) until there is an “Upgrade” or some other apparent benefit (like 2 more months of warranty woo hoo!) offered to appease the now ego inflated self important individual that couldn’t see passed that extra 10 bucks to purchase the feature they were certain this item should have had. Yeah I know genius how they get what they wanted through yelling and fits instead of money huh? I see the wisdom in these maneuvers really I do, but I have better things to do, 6 hours a day for up to 2 months, than save 10 bucks. Yep you guessed it … things like playing Freecell and Spider Solitaire, or setting my head on fire.

A-end thayit’s all I have to-oo say ah-bout thayit. I think I will go lye da-own na-ow. (say it out loud.. you’ll get it) I am tired and just can’t do better than this today… try and find the humor and get over the fact that we (yes I have money and buy stuff too…) are all customers.

Thought for the day…
Don’t try creative writing (yep, also translates to “Rant”) on 2 hours of sleep. More specifically; sleep more drink less.
